Last night I took Ruffles outside and saw two people going up the street on Segways. Is that really necessary in little White Hills? Sure, it looks like fun, but how lazy can you be? If you're going to go for a stroll around the neighborhood, do it on your feet, not your Segway. Same goes for the lazy little boys on their super-loud, motorized scooters (some even have seats for extra-laziness) — the future ricers of America. Even Ruffles stopped to stare at the weird Segways, and he's half-blind.

5 1/2 more hours until the preparty fun begins. I'm so excited, it feels like it's Christmas Eve!
Teufel's out getting his oil changed and getting all spruced up and ready for the big Waterfest weekend. We are very excited.

I really dig Photobucket. They host my zillions of car photos for free and then I get to post them on VWVortex without hassle. Thumbs up.
So now here's a self-indulgent picture post of highlights of the past week:
I love my new camera because it takes pictures like this:
and this:
I also love fireworks:
... and Baby Guinness:
...and Fluffernutter and PBLT sandwiches from Peanut Butter & Co. in Manhattan:
It's things like this which make my pain in the ass commute on the Merritt Parkway much better (look at the license plate):
And a picture post would not be complete without a few shots of Teufel and his buddies. There was a big VW R32 playdate at Bear Mountain in New York this weekend:
If anyone knows where I can host video clips for free, tell me!
Four more sleeps until the Waterfest festivites begin. I cannot wait.

Happy Birthday to Allie!
Yesterday we bought tickets to go to Vegas. Vegas, baby, Vegas! I haven't been there in five months. That's a record for me, I think. We're going six weeks from today. Yay! And Igor is a Vegas virgin. This is going to be fun!
And the Waterfest festivities begin a week from tonight. I can't wait. It's like Christmas for Volkswagen/Audi lovers.

Fireworks show No. 3 of the season is on tap for tomorrow at the Bluefish game, and No.4 is Sunday night — the Macy's 4th of July Fireworks in New York City. Just keep your fingers crossed that it doesn't rain!
And then there are these fireworks from Laura which we can enjoy from the comfort and glow of our computer screens.
Fireworks are the greatest.
