Last night I took Ruffles outside and saw two people going up the street on Segways. Is that really necessary in little White Hills? Sure, it looks like fun, but how lazy can you be? If you're going to go for a stroll around the neighborhood, do it on your feet, not your Segway. Same goes for the lazy little boys on their super-loud, motorized scooters (some even have seats for extra-laziness) — the future ricers of America. Even Ruffles stopped to stare at the weird Segways, and he's half-blind.

Welcome to the post-Waterfest funk. It feels like the day after Christmas, except there's no New Year's Eve party to look forward to.
Oh well. Vegas in 30 days!

I miss Waterfest like a smack addict misses his fix.

5 1/2 more hours until the preparty fun begins. I'm so excited, it feels like it's Christmas Eve!
Teufel's out getting his oil changed and getting all spruced up and ready for the big Waterfest weekend. We are very excited.

I really dig Photobucket. They host my zillions of car photos for free and then I get to post them on VWVortex without hassle. Thumbs up.

Yesterday we bought tickets to go to Vegas. Vegas, baby, Vegas! I haven't been there in five months. That's a record for me, I think. We're going six weeks from today. Yay! And Igor is a Vegas virgin. This is going to be fun!
And the Waterfest festivities begin a week from tonight. I can't wait. It's like Christmas for Volkswagen/Audi lovers.

Fireworks last night at the Bluefish game were good for No. 3! Tonight at Evy's party on Coventry lake I saw a few little fireworks, but not enough to really count. So we'll say I'm up to 3 1/2 fireworks shows this season so far. Tomorrow, New York City. Bring on the pyrotechnics!

Fireworks show No. 3 of the season is on tap for tomorrow at the Bluefish game, and No.4 is Sunday night — the Macy's 4th of July Fireworks in New York City. Just keep your fingers crossed that it doesn't rain!
And then there are these fireworks from Laura which we can enjoy from the comfort and glow of our computer screens.
