I <3 TiVo.

I'm in such a pissy mood. I think I need to go shoe shopping.
I also need to go to Las Vegas.
But first I will hide with the TiVo.

I love fireworks. Literally and figuratively, but today let's talk about literally.
Last week Igor and I went to Stafford Motor Speedway to see his friend race late model stock cars. It was lots of good redneck fun, and there was a fireworks show! Granted, it wasn't Grucci Brothers quality, and some of the show was set to Don Henley for extra white trashness, but it was still bright, loud, exploding pyrotechnics in the sky, and I dig it.
Tonight we're going to the Bridgeport Bluefish game and it looks like they have fireworks every Friday night. Yay! I can't wait.
This summer I think I will make it my mission to see as many fireworks displays as possible. Technically, it's not even summer yet, but fireworks equal summer and I love summer, which technically begins Monday!

Lately I've been noticing many Jettas missing their front VW emblems. Now I know they're not just falling off the front grilles, obviously they are being stolen. It makes me sad. Sometimes they're ripped off so forcefully that the grille breaks and pieces are just hanging. This needs to stop. I'm sure it happens on Golfs, too, but there's just so many more Jettas around. I see this at least once a day, usually twice. We need to make a public service announcement. Stop the madness... Stop unnecessary debadging of VW grilles!

Wow! Beth wrote in her blog! Beth, if you're still out there and you still read this... um, hi!
I miss Vegas. Someone go with me now, please. I haven't been there in almost four months. Four months! That's a record for me. Besides, I just bought these fabulous BCBGirls platform pumps and I need to wear them somewhere. And p.s. mine are lavender and they are the ultimate Barbie doll shoes, so take me to the Ghostbar at the top of The Palms right now!

Also, adding to the list of things to win over Kara's heart:
7. An Oscar the Grouch stuffed animal, a little stuffed cow and a Mets poster, all won at Six Flags just for me!

It's Friday afternoon and it's time to think about traffic.
I average about 2 1/2 hours in the car each day, to drive approximately 76 miles.
2 1/2 x 5 days = 12.5 hours/week in traffic.
12.5 x 4 weeks/month = 50 hours/month, or roughly 2 full days/month in traffic.
12.5 x 52 weeks/year = 650 hours/year, or 27 days/year, which is almost a month in traffic.
I spend a month of my year sitting in traffic?!
Now, I know I'm no math wizard, but I'm pretty certain I'm correct.

Next time I get bored I'll calculate how much I spend to drive my R32.
