I hate the post-Vegas slump. It's so depressing. But the trip was so great, I can't be sad. And I think I've enrolled another (Igor) into my Vegas-worshipping cult. We hit all the big Strip casinos, went to the Hoover Dam, drove around Red Rock Canyon in our lame-o Dodge Neon rental car, ate In-N-Out burgers... twice, got to see Nicole and Beth (yay!), played actual table games (I never gamble) and even won a little cash, went to the Golden Nugget and saw some of the stars on Fox's "The Casino" reality show, had drinks at the Ghostbar at the top of the Palms (on the way up in the elevator I stood next to Macauley Culkin and didn't even realize it), saw Lance Bass of 'NSync and he totally saw me staring and smiling at him, and the highlight of the trip: had dinner at 9, the swanky steakhouse at the Palms. It was one of the best dinners I've ever had, and Dennis Rodman (and his entourage) was sitting behind Igor. He put his hand on the back of Igor's chair and we were amazed at how large it was. Very exciting.
And yes, I cried when I left, I always do. But this time it was just a little and it wasn't until Igor said, while looking out the airplane window, "Look, you can see In-N-Out from here!" Oh, sweet, sweet In-N-Out, how I miss you and love you.
Oh, and it was around 100 degrees everyday.
I can't wait to go back... just another month and a half!
I will post pictures soon.
