PASQUALLI (1/3), 2 3/4, DIES IN HER STAMFORD HOME
The final 1/3 of Pasqualli the goldfish, a Stamford resident, died Thursday evening, April 29, at home. She was 2 3/4.
She died peacefully of natural causes, with her loving owner by her side, according to family.
Born in 2001, Pasqualli was won at the Danbury Fair carnival by her owner, Karen (Bunny) Elizabeth Hirsch of Stamford. She grew up in Shelton and moved to Stamford at age 1.
She is survived by a friend, Heath the betta, of Shelton.
She was predeceased by the other 2/3 of Pasqualli, one who scandalously died July 15, 2003, and the other who died Wednesday night. She was also predeceased by a friend, Penelope, of Shelton.
The family speculates the final 1/3 of Pasqualli died of a broken heart because her lover, Pasqualli, died the previous night.
"Thus ends the life, the ledgend, the holy trinity of godfish," Hirsch says.
Burial was private Thursday evening at her Morgan Street home.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that fish owners change the fish water on a regular basis.
